Ohio State avenged their loss to the Michigan Wolverines by defeating the Illinois Fighting Illini during the week, but that was only the warm up for their most important game of the week. The Buckeyes will face the ranked Wisconsin Badgers on Sunday evening at 4 PM ET. It's pretty much a must win game with the Buckeyes behind in the Big Ten standings, though they'll get a chance to swipe at the team ahead of them, the Michigan State Spartans, on the last day of the season.
It's no longer possible for the Cleveland State Vikings to win the Horizon Conference, with only a single game remaining for themselves and sitting two games back of Valparaiso. They did finally snap their big losing streak when they beat Detroit on Thursday, and get a chance to end the year on a two game high note when they take on the Wright State Raiders on Saturday at 2 PM ET.
Even if they lose the three games remaining on their schedule, the Akron Zips will be hard pressed to not win the MAC with a three game lead on it over even the closest competitors. That said, all three remaining games are winnable and it wouldn't be surprising to see Akron end the year at 15-1 in MAC play. They play the Ohio Bobcats on Sunday at 8 PM ET.
