March Madness Bracket 2012: Ohio St. Buckeyes Face Loyola (MD), Scouting Report On The Greyhounds

The Ohio St. Buckeyes earned a No. 2 in the East Region and will face the Loyola (MD) Greyhounds for their first game of the 2012 NCAA Tournament. We all know plenty about the talented Buckeyes, but very little is known about their opponents the small school from Maryland. Let's take a look at the Greyhounds and their 2011-2012 season.

Record: 24-8

Key Wins/Losses: The Greyhounds lost by 24 when they traveled to face the Kentucky Wildcats back in December. They fell to No. 14 seed Iona by 12, and lost to Wake Forest by 12 to begin their season.

Conference Standing From Regular Season: Loyola (MD) finished 2nd in the MAAC and won their conference tournament, knocking off Fairfield in the title game.

Top Players: They feature four scorers who average double-digits in points, and they are led by 6-foot-7 junior forward Erik Etherly who averaged 13.5 points and 7.4 rebounds during the regular season. Sophomore guard Dylon Cormier averaged 13.4 PPG. Sharp-shooter Robert Olson hit 44% of his shots from behind the arc and averaged 11.2 points in 2011-2012.
