The evening session in Columbus tips off all the action around the country at 6:50 pm, with No. 8 seed Memphis taking on No. 9 seed Saint Louis. The Billikens are coached by Rick Majerus and are dancing for the first time since 2000. SLU was 25-7 this season, and hold their opponents to an average of 57 points per game with some stifling defense. The Memphis Tigers are loaded with talent under young coach and ace recruiter Josh Pastner. At times, they underachieved this season but they enter the tournament on a high note, having dominated the C-USA conference tourney. They have a lot of offensive firepower and can get out and run, so this with match to very opposing styles of play. The Tigers are currently favored by three points.
