March Madness 2012: NC State Leads San Diego State, 33-29, At Halftime

After 20 minutes of neck-and-neck basketball, No. 11 North Carolina State leads No. 6 San Diego State by a score of 33-29 at the half in first round play in the Midwest region. The Wolfpack has another 20 minutes to keep their upset bid alive.

Working in favor of the Wolfpack is their 50 percent shooting from the field. Richard Howell is seven-for-nine, leading the team with 15 points. Lorenzo Brown has five assists and eight points.

The Aztecs are hitting just 38 percent of their field goal attempts. Jamaal Franklin leads the team with 13 points, including a three-for-five mark from outside the arc. San Diego State is hitting 75 percent of their free throws, but they have just four attempts. The only miss was this Deshawn Stephens airball.
