Notre Dame Vs. Xavier Score Update: Irish Lead 33-31 At Halftime

Friday in the 2012 NCAA Tournament has been a very eventful day of play in the Round of 64. One of the nightcaps pits the No. 10 seed Xavier Musketeers against the No. 7 seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Entering halftime, the Irish are ahead by a score of 33-31.

Xavier jumped out to a 5-0 lead right off the bat, but Notre Dame quickly closed the gap. The Irish were not able to get shots to go and Xavier pulled away again, 15-9. NOtre Dame took their first lead of the game with nine minutes left in the first half, but Tu Holloway put the Musketeers right back up. The two teams traded leads for a bit, but Notre Dame was able to settle down and take a four-point lead in the final 30 seconds of the half.
