2012 Big Ten Tournament: Ohio State Defeats Purdue 88-71

Purdue never had an answer for Jared Sullinger, who had 30 points and 12 rebounds for Ohio State, but it was Deshaun Thomas who started a key run for the Buckeyes. leading only 65-61, Thomas collected a key offensive rebound and scored on a putback with 6:18 left to start a 14-0 run for the Buckeyes. Ohio State then pulled away for an 88-71 win.

D.J. Byrd led the Boilermakers with 20 points while Terone Johnson had 15, but the Boilers could not slow down Jared Sullinger and Thomas. Thomas finished with 22. Aaron Craft had 10 points and seven assists, but William Buford scored nine critical points during Ohio State's big run after being held to two in the first half.
