Urban Meyer's Ohio State Buckeyes team continues to pile on the new commitments, gaining the services of safety Jayme Thompson as their latest new recruit, their seventh new commitment of the 2013 class so far. The story was reported by several services including Rivals. The Toledo (OH) Central Catholic player is a consensus four star recruit and is considered one of the top 20 safeties in the country by some services.
Rivals.com lists Thompson at 6'2'' and 184 pounds with a 4.53 40 yard dash time, listing him as the 13th best safety in his class.
Thompson reportedly had other offers from a handful of schools including Cincinnati, Illinois, Louisville, Missouri, Nebraska, Vanderbilt and West Virginia. Not the best of offer lists, so it's not surprising that he would choose Urban Meyer's upstart Buckeyes in the end.
