Red Hot Chili Peppers Sing Michigan Fight Song To Troll Fans At Ohio State Arena

There's a few very good ways to insult fans of college sports. One would be to point out when they've never actually been to college, and another would be to provide the standard trash talk about your favorite college. Another would be to bring up some bowl game that the school failed miserably in, and there's a ton of other things you can do on top of that. One of the best, though, is singing a good rival's fight song loudly an obnoxiously.

You can't get much more loud than a rock concert, and you can't get more obnoxious than doing it while thousands are screaming your praises after you've promptly rocked their faces off. Now, Red Hot Chili Peppers have always been a band to walk that rock/funk line, but I did want to avoid anything about "funking." That being said, we are indeed talking about the Red Hot Chili Peppers and we are indeed talking about trolling college fans.

After what was probably an awesome show at the Ohio State basketball arena a week ago, RHCP drummer Chad Smith started throwing out drum sticks and generally getting the crowd hyped up. He then got on the microphone and sang a couple rather poor lines of the Michigan fight song. We've got video after the jump, with a H/T to KegsNEggsBlog.
