Tim Brando Accuses Urban Meyer Of 'Politicking To Play For A Big Ten Title'

On "The Tim Brando Show" Tuesday, the host and guest Aaron Taylor went out of their way to rip Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, accusing the Buckeyes coach of complaining about his team's sanctions that prevent them from playing for a Big Ten championship this season.

Brando and Taylor didn't specify their issues with Meyer following Ohio State's 2-0 start to the season, but that didn't hold them back from taking shots at the coach. SB Nation's Land-Grant Holyland has it fully covered and took exception with much of what Brando and Taylor had to say, breaking down the situation based on Meyer's past words and how the Big Ten will handle the situation should Ohio State win their division in the regular season.

ESPN's Adam Rittenberg reached out to the Big Ten league office for clarity on whether or not Ohio State or Penn State would be eligible to be named Division champions even though they were ineligible for the league's title game and the post season. The league said yes, and that teams not named division champions who finished second after them would be eligible to compete for the conference crown despite not actually winning their own divisions. It was also revealed that should Ohio State or Penn State find themselves in that scenario, they'd actually receive commemorative hardware for their division titles.
