SB Nation is in the midst of an extensive NBA season preview with only two days to go before the season officially starts. Mike Prada recently published a list of the NBA's most important people and Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Kyrie Irving was listed as one of those most important personalities:

These are three young point guards poised to become stars this season, but all have different obstacles to overcome. For Rubio, it's the weight of expectations, as well as his own issues as a scoring threat. His passing is great, but he has to prove he can hit a jump shot and finish himself at the rim to keep the defense honest. For Irving, it's the weight of carrying a downtrodden franchise on his shoulders, even though the talent around him is subpar.

Expectations are not high going into the season, especially with the Bulls and Pacers within the Central division expected to be among the Eastern conference's best teams.

Kyrie Irving or Ramon Sessions as the starting point guard? That's what the Cleveland Cavaliers need to decide before Monday's game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers drafted Kyrie Irving with the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, but that doesn't mean he's going to be inserted into the starting lineup right away. The Cavs made an opening for the starting point guard when they released Baron Davis last week under the new amnesty clause.

Head coach Byron Scott told the media on Thursday that he'll make a decision whether to start Irving or incumbent Ramon Sessionss sometime over the weekend, according to the Plain Dealer.

The Cavaliers coach said he won't decide whether to start Irving or Ramon Sessions until the weekend and won't make it public until Monday when the club opens its regular season at home against Toronto.

"The one good thing is I have two good point guards and that's a plus. Right now it's a toss up. I will use (next two days) to figure out where I am."

Sessions started the Cavs two preseason games, but Irving is obviously being looked at the future.
