In the end, the outcome of the game was strictly a matter of pride. The Cleveland Browns did their best to spoil the Pittsburgh Steelers' chances to win the AFC North but after the Browns jumped out to a 6-0 lead, the Steelers came back to win 13-9.

Unfortunately for Pittsburgh, the Baltimore Ravens beat the Cincinnati Bengals to secure the AFC North division crown, so the Steelers will take the No. 5 seed into the first round of the playoffs where they'll face the Denver Broncos.

The Steelers defense tuned up for the playoffs facing a quarterback that resembled Tim Tebow in Seneca Wallace. The Cleveland quarterback struggled throwing the ball much of the day and made a few big plays with his legs. Pittsburgh eventually forced Wallace to throw the ball to make a comeback and kept him in check until the final drive of the game which ended appropriately with an incomplete pass on the last play of the game from the Pittsburgh 24-yard line.

For the game, Wallace completed 16 of 41 passes for 177 yards while rushing three times for 44 yards. Cleveland only ran the ball 15 times, giving Peyton Hillis 10 carries for just 30 yards.

Pittsburgh survived to win with Ben Roethlisberger completing 23 of 40 passes for 221 yards. Running back Isaac Redman scored the game's only touchdown for the Steelers as part of 92-yard rushing game. Redman kept the Browns alive late when he fumbled after a long run, one of two Redman lost in the game.

The loss ends the injury-plagued season for the Browns leaving them with a 4-12 record.

The Pittsburgh Steelers scored 13-straght points and maintain a 13-9 lead over the Cleveland Browns heading into the fourth quarter.

Pittsburgh opened the half taking the ball down to the the Cleveland 11-yard line before having to settle for a Sean Suisham field goal and then finally cracked the end zone for the first time when Isaac Redman ran the ball seven yards for six. The play capped a seven-play drive as the Steelers took advantage of good field position after Troy Polamalu intercepted a Seneca Wallace pass.

Seneca Wallace bounced back and moved the Browns into the red zone on their next drive by throwing to Josh Cribbs and then running the ball himself for 20 yards. But after taking a sack on third and long, the Browns settled for a 49-yard field goal by Phil Dawson.

Redman has handled the running back duties admirably for the Steelers, putting up 70 yards on 17 carries. Wallace leads the Browns with 44 yards rushing but has completed just 7 of 20 passes for 102 yards.

The Cleveland Browns are doing their best to fulfill their spoiler role in Week 17 and impact the AFC playoff picture despite struggling to mount much of an offensive attack against the Pittsburgh Steelers but holding onto a 6-3 lead at halftime.

Cleveland made it into the Pittsburgh red zone one time but stalled at the 8-yard line and settled for a Phil Dawson field goal and then cashed in a 45-yard field goal from Dawson with just over a minute to play in the half. I

It appeared the Brown would take a 6-0 lead to the half but Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hit Antonio Brown with two big gains that left the Steelers on the Browns' 1-yard line. But Cleveland held tough and force the Steelers to settle for a Sean Suisham field goal.

Pittsburgh had three drives of at least ten plays but struggled to move the ball very far into Cleveland territory. One of those long drives ended on downs after coach Mike Tomlin decided against a 49-yard field goal attempt. Instead quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw an incomplete pass on 4th and 3 to end the threat.

The next time Tomlin went for the field goal the the Steelers' offense stalled at the Cleveland 27 yard line but Suisham's 45-yard kick was no good.

The Browns only have 113 total yards with quarterback Seneca Wallace throwing for 70 yards and rushing for 24 yards.

The Pittsburgh Steelers released their inactive list for today's game against the Cleveland Browns. While quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will play through his high ankle sprain (the one he injured against the Browns earlier this season), the Steelers will be without their linebacker Lamar Woodley for the sixth time in eight games due to a hamstring injury.

Here is the rest of the inactives for the Steelers:

The Cleveland Browns have so many questions going into the offseason, the least of which isn't pertaining to their quarterback position. Colt McCoy was the starter this season, but struggled mightily, and will miss what might have been his last chance to show the organization that he's the quarterback of the future. He's out with a concussion, suffered three weeks ago on Thursday Night Football, when James Harrison hit him with a vicious helmet-to-helmet tackle, and he will miss the finale against, funnily enough, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Instead, Seneca Wallace will make the start at quarterback, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. He's played well in McCoy's absence, and will be looking to show everybody he can that he's worth keeping around by beating the AFC North rival Steelers. There will be plenty of players on the Browns who feel that Week 17 is somewhat of an audition for next season, and it's probably the case.

Not only will the Cleveland Browns be without quarterback Colt McCoy for the finale of the 2011 season on Sunday, but they're going to miss two other players, as well. Right tackle Tony Pashos has been banged up for a good portion of the season (and really, the last four years), and on top of an ankle injury, has an illness. Head coach Pat Shurmur declared him out on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

On top of that, rookie wide receiver Jordan Norwood is set to miss the game on Sunday as well, something that could be very bad for him going forward. The Browns are struggling to find somebody to make plays in the passing game - they need a receiver to step up and make plays. Norwood could have been in line for some serious playing time on offense, with the season lost and the Browns looking for someone to make a statement heading into the offseason.

Artis Hicks will play in place of Pashos.

The season is officially over for quarterback Colt McCoy, as of Friday, he's not been cleared to practice with the rest of the Cleveland Browns, and head coach Pat Shurmur has deemed him out for the Week 17 finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers. McCoy has said repeatedly that he wanted to return for Sunday's game against the AFC North rivals, but following a concussion, the team's medical staff has to be strict, and McCoy is most definitely a no-go.

Seneca Wallace will get the start at quarterback, as has been the case the last two games. Against the Arizona Cardinals, Wallace threw for 226 yards and a touchdown, while throwing for significantly less (147 yards) against the Baltimore Ravens, with an interception on top of his touchdown. Still, the offense has been moving well under Wallace, and the Browns found themselves firmly in both games, losing to Arizona in overtime.

There was doubt that McCoy would get the start even if he was active on Sunday.

McCoy suffered a concussion against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Dec. 8, and after a lot of scrutiny following McCoy's return to that game, the team hasn't cleared him for a single practice since then. The helmet-to-helmet hit that got Steelers linebacker James Harrison suspended for one game effectively made McCoy miss three weeks of action, ending his season.
