Up by 12 at the half, the Cleveland Cavaliers seemed to have things going their way against the New York Knicks. A dreadful third quarter and even worse fourth quarter enabled the Knicks to take the lead and never look back en route to a 120-103 victory at Madison Square Garden.

120 is the most the Knicks have scored all season, thanks to a 71-point second-half. It was an interesting change from the first-half, which saw Cleveland score the most they've put up in a half with 61.

Steve Novak and Baron Davis carried New York in the second half, spurring on a run that brought them back into the game.Novak finished with 17 points while Davis dished eight assists.

Jeremy Lin has a solid night with 19 points, 13 assist and five rebounds while Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 22 points.

Antawn Jamison led the Cavs with 23 points and Kyrie Irving added 22 and seven assists in a losing effort.

The Cleveland Cavaliers lost to Boston on Tuesday, and get a chance to snipe another lower seeded Eastern Conference team in New York on Wednesday as they try to claw their way up to a playoff spot.

The Cleveland Cavaliers couldn't hold off the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night and lost ground in a tight Eastern Conference race. They can get a bit of it back against the Atlantic division's second best team, the New York Knicks, on Wednesday night. The Knicks hold the seventh position of the Eastern Conference, right ahead of the Celtics, thanks to a recent 9-3 winning spurt sparked by Jeremy Lin.

The Lin-Sanity has cooled a bit approaching and going through the All Star break, partially due to the Knicks calming down a bit on the win/loss record and partially due to the return of star Carmelo Anthony, whose presence along side Lin and Amare Stoudemire is doing less good than Knicks fans were hoping for. That's certainly not to say that the Cavaliers can leave Lin alone, he's still sure to do some damage against a mediocre defensive team in Cleveland, but the Cavs can use his propensity for turnovers to their advantage.

The Cavaliers will just continue to do what has worked best for them, leaning on their rookie duo of Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson until they can't lean any more.

The game will be at Madison Square Garden at 7:30 ET.
