Even with their No. 1 draft pick, Kyrie Irving, back on the floor, the Cleveland Cavaliers couldn't escape yet another blowout on Wednesday, and fell in frustrating fashion to Philadelphia, 103-87.

After playing what can only be described as a promising opening half, Cleveland was outscored 50 to 38 in the second, numbers that were much, much worse until a few easy baskets down the stretch offered the Cavs a mirage of respectability. Irving only managed to play 20 minutes in the route, on a night when no Cleveland player saw more than 30 all game.

Philadelphia's second-half explosion that eventually put the game on ice was paced by promising guard Jrue Holiday, who finished with a game-high 24 points. Holiday sank all six of his attempts from the perimeter in addition to dishing out five assists, and had his way with a completely lackadaisical Cleveland defense.

The win moves Philadelphia to 32-30 on the season, while the Cavs fell to 20-41. Cleveland will take Thursday off before playing host to New York at Quicken Loans Arena on Friday.

Fresh off Tuesday's whipping at the hands of the Detroit Pistons, the Cleveland Cavaliers look like a vastly different team on Wednesday, and trail 53-49 to Philadelphia after two quarters of play.

Cleveland has shot a sparkling 54.1% as a team in the first 24 minutes, and is 7-of-11 from the free-throw line. Rookie guard Kyrie Irving, who has been out since April 3rd, made his triumphant return to the court for the Cavs in this game, and has produced seven points with three assists in 12 minutes on the floor.

Point forward Andre Iguodala leads the way for the Sixers with 11 points, five rebounds and five assists, and has also drained 3-of-6 from behind the arc. After such a hot start, Iguodala will be looking for his second triple-double of the shortened season if he can continue his pace.

Rookie big man Tristan Thompson leads all players with 12 points at the break, and is 5-of-6 shooting with three rebounds against Philadelphia's veteran duo of Elton Brand and Spencer Hawes down low. With only two offensive rebounds as a team however, Thompson and company will need to create more second chance opportunities in the second half for the Cavs to take control of the game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have recalled forward Luke Harangody from their D-League affiliate, the Canton Charge, according to Cavaliers general manager Chris Grant.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have recalled forward Luke Harangody from the Canton Charge, the Cavaliers exclusively owned and operated NBA Development League team, Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant announced today.

Harangody finished a stretch of four games in four nights on Monday when the Charge defeated the Springfield Armor in the D-League quarterfinals. On April 13, Harangody led the Charge to a Game 1 victory over the Armor with 16 points and nine rebounds. On Saturday, the Cavaliers recalled Harangody and he earned the start, registering 16 points and 10 rebounds in a Cleveland win.

Harangody travelled back to Springfield for the second and third games of Canton's quarterfinal matchup with Springfield. He scored 26 points in Canton's loss on Sunday, before finishing with seven points and 10 rebounds on Monday.

The second-year forward has played in 16 games with Cleveland this season, averaging 2.5 points and 2.4 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per game. He is available for the Cavaliers' game Wednesday versus Philadelphia.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Philadelphia 76ers, trying to keep themselves in the playoff spots as they start a five game road trip, on Wednesday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have pretty much been out of the playoffs for quite a while now, with their young core unable to win games when it's counted while injuries have ravaged the team's depth. It's been a bit more of a roller coaster for the Philadelphia 76ers, who looked a lock for the playoffs a bit earlier in the season but have faltered incredibly in recent weeks.

Philly is 2-7 in the month of April and has sunk to third in the Atlantic division after leading it for a good chunk of the year at the start. Their playoff positioning is in jeopardy if their form continues to fall at the rate it's been going down in the last month. Wednesday's game against Cleveland will start off a tough five game road trip.

The Cavs are going through their own struggles this year, of course. In April their form is 3-7, only a game above the 76ers form.

Cleveland could to continue to miss Kyrie Irving for Wednesday's game, though he may be able to play for the first time in a while. Their rookie superstar has missed the last nine games, which has helped Cleveland lose their last three games. Philly has won both games so far this season between these two teams.

The game will be at Quicken Loans Arena at 7:00 p.m. ET.
